  • Many thanks for doing this you have given me so much hope, im going through the exact same thing and had the exact same hole in the heart and heart op when i was young. Ive got my date for early january 09 and im bricking it to say the least. Thank god I've managed to find this blog. God bless, your website is awesome.

  • really glad it helped you, thats exactly why i created the blog - and you can't really help it but don't worry so much it is much easier than you imagine, less pain, and you can do a lot more than you think. I'm 1 month now and ill do another video soon but i feel totally fine to do normal everyday stuff, just nothing extreme :) - oh my heart rate is faster still, but i think its slowing back to normal :)

  • oh, and are you in the UK? Where is your op if so? Feel free to ask me anything u want, and do stay in touch and let me know how it goes!

  • Hope youve had it successfully and come out the other side now! Hope you have a quick and event free recovery - I'm 2 months post surgery now and pretty much normal again - there is life after surgery...BETTER life! :)

  • Hey! Good luck man. I'll be checkin you out to see how you're doing post surgery!

  • Thanks, still no date, but should still be around the end of November... hopefully

see all

  • Hey Dan! Almost 21 years ago I had my heart surgery! Remember something from it.... but only something, not all! You were really brave, I can tell ya. I know how you must have felt !!

  • Awesome series of videos Dan, i'm having heart valve repair surgery in a couple of weeks and you've provided a wonderfully frank, insightful and useful account for which i'm mega-grateful. Much of the info from the hospital has been quite generic and impersonal, but i feel much more positive now and a little less anxious. Cheers!

  • wow 4 heart surgeries! Best of luck friend, and yeh make a video, ill definitely watch it!
