2N3055 Flyback arcs - close-up.

Just fiddling with an old flyback today and tried to get some decent footage of the arcs. Voltage was particularly low (12v) delivered from a PSU, as was the current 1.6A, but I liked the way the corona and sparks were sometimes separate here, and the arcs were seemingly intertwined.

Hey nice driver i found that with this driver adding different capacitors in parrallel with the primery can give you some interesting out puts ive got a 30kv 10n cap and got a huge out put diference and its only running on 12 v 500ma btw i subbed :)

@blackmesa25 Will do mate :) I just got hold of another two flybacks so I should be up and running again soon with more experiments, I fried the first flyback I had :( Mind due it was very old and tired. My new ones are out of two CRT monitors, and whilst taking them out I also grabbed about 5 transformers, heatsinks and a bunch of components too which will help keep the supplies topped up :)
