Birds of Prey created by Michael Brown for the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, California.
Permanently installed in Discovery Cove are life-size cutouts of seven different species who yearly migrate over the Headlands and across the mouth of the Golden Gate where the museum is located. Each bird, constructed of anodized aluminum has holes drilled throughout the wingspan and body which illustrate and highlight patterns bird watchers use to identify the species from below as they fly overhead.
A plaque at the base of each bird notes the name and species of each bird to help educate and inform the visitors.
