  • Mate. How do you keep the hiss down from the poweramp section of your amp? You must have an NS-2 in the effects loop or something? My VH100R with EL34 sounds like a blizzard when I crank the drive on channel 2.

  • @kidguitar2000 I only have the NS-2 infront of the amp. The amp can be noisy when really loud but i find it also depends on how you set the gain. I set the Gain and Drive knobs to 6 on mine and seems to reduce the Hiss from the gain stage.

Live i use another Noise Gate in the effects loop as i'm using a Pod XT Pro for effects such as delays and also for a solo boost.

  • i like the laney much better than the marshall js, :) great playing as always!

  • @custommade21 Cheers dude, yea i prefer the Laney over my JCM 800.

  • Great tone Stephen !!!!!

  • @AzArAzA95 not for all out brutality, but the gain is probably a bit more musical, I mean they can both do metal but the 6505+ is a bit.... More. But, you gain a lot of versatility from this amp.

  • any pedals in front of the amp other than the ns-2?

  • Does this amp KILL a 6505+?

  • Ns-2 kills the tone :P
