This is my friend's Electrifly L-39 flying on a nice Spring morning. It has a HobbyCity 5300kv/53mm motor and fan, along with a 2200mah 20c Zippy Flightmax Lipo, Thunderbird 54 ESC, and custom paint! The pilot is Zagi400flyerMN.

  • Minne, how did the tanks and missiles effect the landing? I have this model also and was told not to fly it with them, my only concern being landings, and the stores causing damage to the wing.

  • The missiles and tanks were cut down to fit and glued into place. They actually don't snag or catch in the grass too bad, but I wouldn't recommend any high-speed landings with this configuration. The builder and pilot of this model is PositivelyJoe.

  • @MrColdShoot no definitely not... dont try to buy it..you will crash it and waste your money. Just like i did.. and already wasted 500 dollars already still havent flown anything yet. A lot of people suggest to go for flight sim, or Hobbyking Bixler EPO or Easy Star both are the same but different company.

  • is this beginner friendly plane?

  • I like this dude..... he says "excellent"

  • you arent supposed to fly with drop tanks and bombs attatched... only the wingtip tanks

  • This video makes me want to buy one which is why I searched youtube to begin with. It appears you have flown this plane through its entire speed envelope. Looks like it can fly relatively slow and maintain stability. Is this true? I want a jet I can fly somewhat slow to practice with. It appears that it can be blistering fast as well!

  • Thanks!

  • simmons,

This is my plane. at the time of this video, the ext fuel tanks were glued on the bottom of the wing - 1) they helped to protect teh servos 2) they worked as skids for landing as well as ROG take offs. also with the ext tanks more inboard, you can now fit four missile on the stock magnet mounts in the wing!

The Missiles are stock magnets. they stay on in high speed (see the video) and on landing, they just come off gentle in the grass and the plane keeps sliding to a stop.

    PJ

  • nice plane
