It's great to read some of these messages. I've been a big fan of Cocco since my friend introduced me to her music a few years ago.
I hope Cocco's performance highlights the agony the people of Okinawa are going through being forced by the US and Japanese governments to live with the danger of Futenma Air Station or the destruction of Oura Bay.

I love Cocco so much. This song is so beautiful, it makes me sad.

She reminds me of Bjork sometimes in the way she defies convention, but I prefer her poetic style to Bjork and almost even Patti Smith. Patti Smith is so self-consciously an artist, but Cocco just is.

@wowJhil I fuckin' agree! They have this natural atmosphere with them which a lot of people nowadays have lost, which is sad :( But I love them both :)

I think she's sad about dugongs being on the verge of extinction in okinawa. she often gets this emotional on stage

I'm really glad you like her, cocco has been my favourite for many years now. she retired from singing in 2001 but came back 5 years later, and I'm so happy she's singing again :)

I explained that in the video description, thinkinglass. It's youtube's fault, because the video I have is perfectly fine. And, unfortunately, I can't do anything about it.
