Belly dance is supposed to be sensual, not sexual or "erotic." It is about the celebration of woman, not the objectification. It is common to vulgarize belly dance because such notions are encouraged by the dancers themselves and by their audience. It is a folk dance, people. These dancers are blah... but too much emphasis is on their bodies and not their skills. Try searching Beledi, ATS, or Moroccan Folk; these performers show you great skill and presence. This video is all Vegas to me.

@80spopQueen well if its african... consider that maybe when westerners started spreading belly dance throughout the world that they may have tweaked some moves over time to become what the western world knows as belly dance today. and yeah these girls suck but africans mix belly dance with tribal dances. the history is that belly dance was a ritual dance to worship gods. thats why its called the goddess dance and girl who did it were consedered witches(in a good way)
