Cuba essentially did a minstrel act in Jerry Maguire. What a fucking embarrassing Oscar win! Fortunately his career since then -- and the greater perspective of hindsight -- have not been kind to this moment.

He's sooooo adorable.

Most people stop talking or hurry through their speech when the music starts; everyone should do what Cuba did and just keep talking over the music. It's like having your own background soundtrack for your speech...live, and performed by a full orchestra. Makes your speech even more dramatic...

and that was not the worst oscar win...he was freakin awesome and charismatic as hell in jerry maguire

I like this speech but I mostly hate the really weepy, pathetic and overemotional speech. This one wasn't weepy. It was just genuine joy and fun. I like it.
