I Wanna Know You Nelena Story ep 8

Sel: Why were you eavesdropping?

Nick: *looks at her* you know i dont talk to many people, basically only you, your brother and Frankie.

Sel: *hisses* Keep my brother out of this.

Nick: I know what its like to be 100 percent responsible for someone else aswell as yourself, Sel. Thats me and Frankie. We are just the same as you and Jake.

Sel: I told you not to involve Jake in this.

Nick: But without him, where would you be? And it works the other way, too doesnt it. Jake wouldnt survive without you. Frankie and i need each other the exact same way as you and your brother.

Sel: *gets closer to him threatening* what does this have anything to do with you eavesdropping?

Nick: *doesnt move, just stares at her* Im telling you this now because this is the only chance i have for you to hear me out. My parents walked out on me and Frankie years ago. Frankie was too young to understand. I got hit with the situation fully. Im all Frankie has left *eyes begin to water* its the same with you and Jake. Dont tell me that he has nothing to do with this because Frankie and him have gotten really close and if you take another single thing away from Frankie, his heart will break even more. He can barely remember my parents. But hes old enough to remember Jake and you. He doesnt need to be hurt even more.

Sel: *looks at his hurt expression and softens* im not gonna take Jake away from him. Jake has his own life, he can hang out with who he wants when he wants.

Nick: *looks into her eyes* but thats only because youre suffering for him.

Sel: *tear rolls down her cheek* im not ready to talk about this, Nick. No one knows and no one is going to find out, ok? If someone finds out, well be sent away from home and me and Jake could be separated. I cant live without him and he can barely survive without me. Please dont ruin our chances Nick *walks away wiping the flowing tears from her eyes as she heads back to the school*

Nick: *catches up with her and spins her around*

Sel: *Winces as he digs his fingers into her arms*

Nick: *sees the pain on her crumbled face, stops and slowly slides her sleeve up and looks at her battered arm, takes her hand instead and steers her back to the tree* you wont go back into that school if you wanna seem normal. Stay out here for the rest of the day, we only have two lessons left anyway.

Sel: *sighs and allows him to drag her away back to the tree and sits down pulling her sleeve back down making sure no one was around* fine, but if i get into any trouble, its all your fault, Jonas.

Nick: *smiles and sits down next to her* just blame it on me if the teachers accuse you of anything. Believe me; itll get you out of any kind of trouble.

Sel: *picks little bits of grass, calming herself down* so whyd you come out here instead of class?

Nick: I can relax here. Its just a place to come and think, take a break from all the worries of school and Frankie. Its peaceful and i like it.

Sel: Wow, your deep. Theres news for me. Would never have guessed that.

Nick: *chuckles* so how do you cope with all the stress? Dont you have a place to go when you cant handle it anymore just to calm down or something?

Sel: *picks up his bag and uses it as a pillow as she lies down on the grass and stares up and the sky* Well, i used to before we moved. I went as often as i could just to clear my head. But i could only go when Jake was staying at a friends or was out during the day. But seeing as Ive just moved here, i havent really found a place to go. So Ive settled with just taking my iPod to the local park and sitting on the swing, instead.

Nick: Yeah, i used to do that *smiles and looks in the classroom and laughs*

Sel: *looks at him surprised* what?

Nick: *looks at her* the whole class including the teacher is staring at us in shock...

Sel: *sits up as her head snaps towards the classroom windows and laughs as she sees everyone gaping back at her. She looks around to see Taylor staring at her with disapprovement and anger all over his face* well, thats cheered me up.

Nick: *sees him looking aswell* wow, Taylor really has it in for me. Demi was right about him liking you, you know...

Sel: *turns away from the class and lies back down facing Nick* i doubt it. Hes only known me a day, Nick.

Nick: Ive only known you for a day and i already know stuff about you that your old best friends can only dream about! *grins at her* i feel so special!

Sel: *smiles and hits his arm playfully* shut up! But, you should. Its amazing; Jake must really feel comfortable around you and Frankie. Hes never just told someone about us before.

Nick: *smiles at her* neither have i. So i guess its a first for all of us *keeps eye contact with her as he scoops up leaves with his free hand and drops them all over her in a flash and runs behind the tree*
