Canon EOS 7D vs Nikon D300s Comparison

A test and review between Nikon D300s DSLR and Canon EOS 7D prosumer DSLR digital cameras. The 7D sits above the 60D and below the full frame 5D Mk2, and the D300s sits above the D90 and below the D700. Both have crop sensors and HD video.

Also the Nikon is much easier to use 1 handed, try holding a burger in you're left hand and the 7D while out and turn it on without the neck strap. I have been in this situation before.

the pentax k-5 is beter then the canon but the nikon is hard to beat i thinck thier equal

the d300s has dual card slot and better low light shooting, features that might be of more importance than video capabilities or MP for a lot of people, so it really depends on personal use.

That was really helpful to learn about the 7d but what do you think of the canon 5d mark iii do you think the 7d is good or should the jump be made to the 5d for the $2000

They're the same cameras as far as their capabilities are concerned. Slightly differ only in price but that's not the big point to consider. I think it's on the preference of the users that matters when choosing between these cameras. Image quality is also more important than video.

@richardmilk if you havent read reviews and compared photos, the despite the 18 mp of canon (more likely to produce grainy photos), its still managed to create cleaner photos than the nikon in darker lighting.. :)

Can't go wrong with either one really. I personally hate the canon controls and the lack of ISO limit set for auto ISO in the canon. I can care less for video as it is .0001% of my shooting

sorry but I have both and the picture quality is better in d300s than canon d7, but in video is better canon d7 than nikon 300s, both of then are good cameras, but Nikon is slightly better, nikon is very friendly and easy to use, sorry about my English.

Fast and accurate in d300s , the 7d is fast but the accurate?, I recommend you compare the cameras not for what they say but by what they do, my winner d300s
