Two Ladies (Dans la Vie)

In this lovely French comedy, an elderly Jewish woman requires daily assistance from her son and their Algerian Muslim housekeeper. When her son leaves town on a business trip, she finds herself in the full-time care of the housekeeper. The young housekeepers family is ardently pro-Arab and defiantly anti-Israel. As the story unfolds, the collision of cultures looms in the background. In a twist of fate and expectations, the Algerian family discovers their common bond with the elderly Jewish woman. This funny, warm and uplifting tale of two cultures reveals how individuals can overcome their prejudices to find their common humanity.
