Sorry to disabuse you of the notion, but we're just higher on the evolutionary scale than other animals.

Yeah, most animals learn to communicate by imitation, then when they can actually learn to articulate more complex concepts, they can learn.

This sort of thing happens with Myna Birds and other mimicking birds.
