My favorite song by Blackfeather.

Blackfeather were one of the most popular and successful groups of the early '70s, and produced one of the landmark Aussie progressive rock albums, but a major split early in the group's history disabled what should have been a promising career for founder John Robinson. As indicated by the huge personnel listing above, there was a bewildering series of lineup changes, with Blackfeather going through at least six major incarnations between 1970 and 1983, with a huge personnel list for each version. The list is a veritable 'Who's Who' of the 70s rock scene.

  • This is one of the best SOngs ive ever heard the guitar solo is so f***ing great thx for upload this

  • One of my favourite guitar songs. I still listen to it. I love those Eastern type guitar lines and the drama of the track. I was reading at the Oz music site 'Milesago' guitarist and composer John Robinson's recollections on the making of the album. He said he was happy with the recorded result of Mangos Theme Part 2, but that it was a only a shadow of what the track was like live. Are there any live versions of it? I seem to remember seeing it on GTK and would love to see it again.

  • BON SCOTT ospite: suona i tamburi, il tamburello e il flauto. (1971)

  • Are we really that old???

Progressive album way ahead of its time......Sadly i left my copy in my Monaro and it melted.

Memories of the band at Ringwood and Box Hill Townhalls......

  • What a trippy time it must have been back then !

  • I'm 56 now and while I might forget to turn off the stove until the fire alarm screams at me ( I'm practising for when I get much older) I can remember this awesome, far out cool, dirty etc etc song ( am I with it??) Brilliant John. In all my years I've not heard anything to compare. I've only played it a dozen times on You Tube, but thousands in my head!

  • any LSD to go with that.... fucking brilliant cheerz

  • I remember that GTK performance as well, bloody fantastic, but still it hasn't shown up the tube....somebody must have it somewhere.

  • JOHN ROBINSON ONE OF THE TRUE UNRECOGNISED GUITAR STARS! UP THERE WITH THE BRITISH,EURO AND US GUITAR LEGENDS!
