Model Steam Engine at Ilfracombe Museum

This is a scale model of an engine used to drive threshing machines and other farm machines. Such engines had no steering gear and were of 2 - 6 horse power. This model was made by the late Mr G Labbett of Ilfracombe. This model is behind glass so the pictures are not that great but it is a very nice model in a superb museum http://www.ilfracombemuseum.co.uk/ I would very much recommend this museum as a place to visit if you are ever in the area or on holiday in North Devon.
