But let me ask you this: what does Capoeira have to say about use of force, legal liability, injury care and prevention, and descalation of volatile situations?
These important issues, along with many others, are covered in detail in this dvd.
So, this can be a reason for "why this system as opposed to other reality based systems".

That's nice about the music and all, but why this system as opposed to other reality based systems? Capoeira is effective, proven, and is valid musically.
