Watch closely boys! That's the way it's done...
-
@bondito8 they wet the aircraft for a welcome
-
@NikonF5user r u stupid? They have something called brake fans to cool down the brakes in the event of brake overheat during landing....what they did is called water cannon salute because AAL re opened service to MHTG after the accident of a LRC A320
-
I doubt they would 'wet' the aircraft unless the brakes caught fire (which is quite possible with such a short landing). The pilot probably got a break overheat warning, and requested a hose down as a precaution.

Actually the wet the aircraft because they reopened that airport to big commercial jets after a TACA flight overshot the runway and crashed there three months earlier
-
@bondito8 I think its to welcome AA to Toncontin.
-
That was too perfect. I think he stayed up late the night before to get some practice while no one was looking.

They don't 'wet' the aircraft!! It's a welcome show that is usually done when an aircraft type first lands on an specific airport. I guess this was the first time a B757 was landing in Toncontin.
