@ZeldaSisters well, the deleted scene "Needle through a bug" contains some flirty action between Graves and Shi. And a fellow fan friend of mine reportedly asked him one occasion if he meant to imply this, and he said yes.
logistically, it makes sense. though he and amber have great sexual chemistry, it clear she's using him. Also, throughout the movie, He seems to be portrayed as just liking Shi better as a person in general. he does go to a lot of trouble to save her ass. (sorry if post 2x)
