4:09 to the rest of that clip is fucking sublime. I feel like that's something that is better than music. That's called having a beautiful mind and being enough of a genius to be able to understand it and transcribe it and your thoughts into music... because that's not something that he sat down and fucked around with a bunch of scales, sounds, vibratos, slides, etc. to make.
If anyone still had the pleasure of the company of this man then they are one of the luckiest people in existence.

To me Shawn Lane was the best just because he could balance feeling and technique so perfectly. Just listen to Gray Pianos Flying, Esperanto or Epilogue for Lisa and you'll know what I'm talking about.

You seem to think that more notes = less emotion. Remember that soul isn't about how long you can hold a note, or how many faces you can make while holding that note!
