  • This is so damn engrossing. Awesome lecture.

  • Science is a great tool for discovery. But whenever business and government interests meddle in science, it no longer is a tool used to decipher truth, but it instead becomes an instrument that promotes dogma, and as with most dogma, usually it is deleterious to the public. This segment of your lecture demonstrates this masterfully.

  • Around 0:30, I was really thought he wasn't going to mention the sudden awareness of CVD or EKGs, or that he would neglect the logical path of living longer to die of something else, but then there he goes with it all. Right on.

  • How about that...turns out the Global Warming nonsense has a historical cousin.

  • @FatHeadMovie Good point about the difficulty in changing position on an ingrained policy like the Lipid Hypothesis. It is similar to how even though nearly all scientific studies of marijuana find it to be at worst harmless and at best a miraculous curative for many diseases, government policy cannot change it's position against it as a "schedule one" drug very easily.

THANK YOU for teaching the truth about fats and carbohydrates! You've helped me improve my diet and health.

  • This is tremendously enlightening and I'm sharing it with s many people as I can. Thank you, sir.

  • @FatHeadMovie i mean maybe they are right and you are trying to get people to think otherwise

  • @CtrlAltDltYou Also, there has been a lot of money spent to push this, from subsidies and profits to even the reputation of the AHA and others, who would lose a lot of face and perhaps even be at risk of lawsuits from people who will blame them for their ruined health. To save face and money, they cannot do an about-face on their position.
