Crows Attack Turkey Vulture Fly with Red-tailed Hawks

Shows a turkey vulture/Buzzard killing a small animal and eating it. Buzzards are reported in the literature not to kill animals, "The Turkey Vulture does not kill live animals but will...scavenge what they leave behind" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_Vulture). However, they sometimes kill them as shown in this video.
The video also shows crows and buzzards during attacks both on the ground and in flight.
Vultures flying with red-tailed hawk and possibly other are also shown.
I couldn't turn my camera on quickly enough when the buzzard actually attacked the rodent, but it appeared that the buzzard swooped over it and made a swift blow. Then it came back and landed. After that another landed and both began to eat the rodent.
The crows wanted to take over after the vultures made their kill, but were unable to. The vultures behaved peaceably and did not fight over the fresh meat.

Loved your video - what a display of wings! I just posted turkey vultures today - there was such a commotion out back today with the crows trying to caw them away.

Actually buzzard is an American vernacular for vulture, but biologically, buzzards are a european family of hawks.

Yeah, that's a turkey vulture, not a buzzard. Completely different species. Buzzards resemble hawks.

Where was this filmed? There is a constant battle between Crows and Turkey Vultures in my Northern California town.
