@metroareatransit If you could have gotten his license plate number, you could've reported to the police. They need to add cameras at rr crossings.

Scary to think that SUV would have come flying at the poor person videoing this train. :/ People have no clue the amount of damage they can cause to those around them and not to mention all the lives of people close to them just because they couldn't wait.. what the 150 seconds it took this train to pass?

WOW! I've never seen anything that close before! If that train would have hit that SUV, at the speed it was going AND considering how long it was, it would have taken a LONG time to stop, even with the emergency brake. If I knew who that person in the SUV was, I would be reporting them to the police if they do this at other railroad crossings.

That could have been a good example of natural selection. The driver should have been killed so he cant pass his faulty genetic material along. Unfortunately some people with good genes would have died along with him.

@metroareatransit It should and it does. The gates are down which is why the SUV swerves through the crossing. Since then a second set of gates has been added to completely close the road and prevent idiots like this from killing themselves or other people.

Whoever filmed this video may not have realized it but if that train had hit the SUV, it could have come over and killed him.

@tryithere I was very aware of that - after the fact. I didn't realize how close it really was until I saw it on my PC.
