  • Peter Goodwin always uses PVA as he works in Auckland which is sub tropical, humid and lots of bugs that love flour and water!

PVA it lasts longer than paste and once Peter repairs a book it stays mended for the next 200 years!

  • How sweet....but I need to know how to repair my 1950s dress sewing instruction sheet which is double sided. Can I still use PVA? They are so brittle, handling it is just not possible. Those instructions are so precious and the sheet is about A2 to A1 size. It is impossible to photograph them or scan. Is there a way I can repair and conserve it?

  • Good work.. How about showing us how to u repair torn stamp?

  • Fantastic. I had always wondered how to make my collection look a bit better with some of the raggedy covers I have mounted on pages. Now I know. Thanks.

  • PVA for paper repairs? Why not paste which is much cleaner and reversible without residues...?
