Hi great video - I'm a Deaf Aussie :D, I'm wondering if your niece knows the sign for "Shalom"? I'm interested to know.

Israeli sign language alfabet is different than what is being shown.

Can someone send me a vid where they do the Israel symbols and have the Israel name for it next to the English letter cause I really should learn this because then I can cuss ppl out in Israeli and not have to worry about them finding out what I said

etni.org has the method I learned. Add old_hearing a slash israel slash esign

This isnt the real AlphaBet in sign laguage... its the unofficial one that students made that the teachers wont understand them... the official one is in one hand

@Auor Yes, I do. Ah, I'd love to. But, for now, I've no way to do it... No camera. But! In the future, I intend to! :)
Ah, this is interesting!

@Auor It is cool you're learning ASL. I'm learning Jamaican Sign Language (JSL) at school and I'm a bit interested in knowing the differences between ASL and JSL. Sadly, one is hard-pressed to find JSL videos on YouTube.

Oh wow - that is great. Do you live in Jamaica? You should fill the void and post JSL videos! :-) I'd love to see those.

this is a common "fingerspelling" israeli children use in school. the real ISL alphabet is much more similar to the ASL alphabet, with only real differences showing up with letters like "shin" "het" and "ayin" among others

Thanks for the explanation! My niece is hearing, so she hasn't had the opportunity to learn the official ISL alphabet. I'll keep searching for it..... I never got the people who sold me an ISL DVD dictionary to help me make it work.
