The Color Of Money

Here is a new and improved version of the first short I made of this building.This is the place where they filmed the movie "The Color Of Money".Chris's Billiards (41 TABLES)with Paul Newman and Tom Cruise.This Old Classic Revival/Art Deco building is at 4637 n Milwaukee ave in Chicago.It's a neat setting to see where Hollywood filmed this movie back in the early eighties.Too bad I couldn't stay for a game or two with friends.You still can, they're open from 9:30a.m. til 2a.m. everyday,except sunday they're open at 10 a. m.. So give'em a try before they turn this place into condo's.

@puredigitalcam In the movie, the only pool tables in the hall were on the right side. If he made a left you woulda seen the rest of the bar and a bunch of bowling lanes behind the left wall, so they left that side out of the movie lol.

Neither of them played pool very good in that movie-average players at best. I don't know why people found this movie to be so great anyhow.

Man, that's one legendary and hard hittin' pool hall and it's awesome that the place is still going strong :)

If I ever get my ass over to the US, I'm gonna be stopping by Chitown to check out Chris' Billiards, just to be able to shoot some pool there :)

In The Color of Money, Paul Newman walks up those stairs and makes a quick right turn. The tables you videotaped are nowhere to be seen in the actual movie...the result of some sort of expansion/renovation? Thanks for sharing...
