What will be the landscape of the auto industry 5 years from now? Which will be the last standing companies? What will car buyers buy -- electric, hybrid or fuel-efficient automobiles? What can potentially save the current automakers? Where do you see the price of oil and gas?

The first mass-produced plug-in electric car, the Chevy Volt, will be out in last 2010. Mitsubishi will start mass production of it's first plug-in electric in 2011, and Nissan and Toyota will have mass production on plug-ins in 2012. Chrysler is working with GE on an electric car, and Mercedes and Audi are also starting electric car programs. Tesla (funded partially by Google), Fisker, and Phoenix Motor Cars.
