#OccupyWallStreet Yahoo Censorship in action

and so... are our civilized and progressive countries really free? Our governments talk all the time about Iran, China etc etc. but what they say and what they do about their own countries?

This is just one example, what other things are they doing to stop people from spreading their dissent?

I just tried the same thing with my yahoo acct. Same exact result. I am not much into conspiracy theories, but between this and the inability for #occupywallstreet to trend on twitter (despite people posting with the #occuptwallstreet at a greater rate than most of the other current trending topics) is proof that there is active censorship happening. This is not our imagination.

@asynkronos I thought the U.S. had "freedom of speech" until I started participating in online forums. I think most people don't participate in political related forums so they don't know what it feels like to speak and be censured off a popular website like abc news. Even on seemingly non political topics I have had comments removed and had no idea why. I definitely believe our view counts are skewed to show what our leaders want.

I have to remind myself not to post a comment or try to rate anybody's on anything I notice on the yahoo home page. It is pesky to participate on a forum only to find I have been censured. There have been at least 2 occasions I have tried to rate a comment opposite the popular way and yahoo wouldn't let me rate the comment. A new trick they seem to be using is make the comments so hard to find that you have to click on "my comments" to see if anybody has rated or replied to your comment.

@asynkronos American government or the corporate takeover of American government? Americans are not alone. Europe stupidly fell into our folly. Given the situation there TODAY, they were far better off with socialism. Within the year, socialism will be the good old days in Europe. It is no coincidence that Reagan and Thatcher began their de-regulation campaign simultaneously. The "free economy" has destroyed economies from Argentina to Greenland ... Greece, Germany ... EU nearly bankrupt.
