When this album came out I had my doubts. I knew it wasn't gonna be the same band that split up in the late 90s that dominated the rock n roll world, but when it comes down to it you have to be open minded. This is a perfect album that was perfectly produced. Axl and Slash have been through hell and back, and I respect both of them to the highest regard. Axl went on and did the impossible and managed a band from nothing. An Slash sobered up and is writing music that influences the world today..

@dtp056 Izzy wrote a lot of things, but he alone didn't write what you would call popular. What comes to mind... "Double Talkin´ Jive", "Think about you" and "Pretty Tied Up". Now the perfect combination, songs he wrote along with Axl like "My Michelle", "Patience", "YCBM", "Don't Cry", "14 years", "You're Crazy". "SCOM" was basically Axl and Izzy with the guitar riff from Slash.

slash was great.. but he was still just the guitarist.. it was axl who had written most guns n roses songs that were a success.. and he managed to do it again
