Shadow Priest DPS! - Level 85, ft. Cromar - TGN

We look at the spec and rotation for a Shadow Priest, and analyze the testing results via Recount. All testing is done against a raid boss dummy with no buffs besides basic class abilities. Gear is level 333 premade junk.

Shadow is a fun spec based around dots, Mind Blast, and, oddly, moving as much as possible. Thanks to a recent change in Shadow Orbs, you no longer need to concern yourself with stacking orbs and timing your dot refreshes. Instead, you can spend the orbs as often as you want, and you will permanently maintain the buff to your periodic shadow damage through a brand new buff called Empowered Shadow.

Although this spec is quite similar to Affliction in a lot of ways, the constant motion thanks to the Shadowy Apparition talent does give it a unique spin compared to every other dps spec in the game.

That rotation is still valid however you want to use mind blast whenever its up to keep empowered shadow up. That increases your dps much more than this rotation it is tested and proven. Thumbs up so everyone can see this!

hm.. it might just be me, but i think 6k dps is fckin bad. i can do better just by spamming Moonfire on my druid.

I kinda hope people aren't really listening to this too much. It's a nice helper but it's not 100% and you should definitely look into the rotation more than -JUST- this video. S-priesting is -not- about moving. Dot class or not, you should move only when you need to. Mind Flay is very important. The made the Shadowy Apparitions the way they are -IN CASE- you have to move. You shouldn't just run around as much as you can. ;)

@kNaNXD depends what you hit with, if you do 24 k with mind flay i would say that is quite good...i take about 80-90 k critt with mindblast in quite low ilvl gear, so if you do 24 k with mindblast as largest heat dealt then i would say not so good
