The ninth episode of the short-lived cartoon "Dinoriders" entitled "Thanksgiving". If only I had gotten this up in time for Thanksgiving, but I guess Christmas is close enough.

In this episode yet another Valorian gets captured by the Rulons. Given how few Valorians there are left alive you'd think Krulos would just start executing them.

  • Well atleast the creators of the series tried to make it sound like the Valorians/Dino-riders had their own version of Thanksgiving instead of just having the characters talk of a holiday they impossibly could have heard of. They could've been lazy and just do another "He-man - Christmas special." But this is just words of a silly swede who maybe isn't aware of the holiness that sorrounds this very, very, VERY american holiday... Peace out

  • The Christmas thing in He-Man is because one of the characters is from Earth and brought it with them Eternia.

And yes, I'm ashamed of myself for knowing that.

And Canadians have some kind of Thanksgiving holiday as well that, from what I can tell, is essentially the same as the American one.

  • I'm pretty sure that the Valorians are meant to be descendants of mankind. At least, that would be a good explanation why they know so many things about the earth, like the names of the dinosaurs - or that turkeys are associated with Thanksgiving (see part 2). ^^

    Good point!

If Canadians are allowed to have Thanksgiving, then so should Valorians.

  • Yungstar's in trouble, we've got to do something. I know, let's hit him head-on in midair, and make the situation worse!

  • Thanksgiving? Isn't that an AMERICAN holiday? Last time I checked, the Dino-Riders weren't American, as America didn't even exist, and even if it did, aren't they all Valorians anyways?

  • THanx for the memories

  • who the heck is the red guy?
