  • CHEATER!!

  • the best way is if you use less weight and keep your back straight. if you have to use back and legs to help you you cannot do them.

  • You can use less heavy weight and not swing your body. That is the best method for this workout.

  • If somebody is going to use alot of hips to force the bar up they may as well clean the weight!

  • I prefer cheat curls a lot more than strict ones, and I mean the effect on my biceps, not some ego-boosting.

  • Sorry I was Busy for a while. But ya that is correct in MOST cases... That you want a FULL RANGE OF MOTION, Constant Tension on the muscle through the Full range (Up And Down) And a Hard Squeeze OR... Contraction at the top of the range. But in cheat curls youd always start with what you can do properly but when you get further on lets say... to 9-12 reps your biceps gave out.. cheat curls allow that EXTRA blood to pump and those extra muscle fibers to get fatigued. Think about EXPLODE method

  • Really? I was always taught using the jerking momentum wouldnt do anything for you. I always thought that you have to keep your body stiff as you can and lift w/o any other motion but the muscle groups you are targeting

  • You can jerk and throw in CHEAT curls which is done when using a curl bar with heavy weight for bicep thickness. And yes there is actually an Exercise called CHEAT CURLS it was one of Arnolds main bicep thickening exercises

  • altho hes using his back, hes curling it slow and steady, its not a fast jerking motion that can do damage.

  • I thought jerking the weights, or throwing it, was cheating.
