Like Ginger Taylor im having this as my epitaph.!...when Ginger was seriously ill a few years ago he had his plot already marked, and this tune earmarked to stand out above his grave....i couldnt recall it but having read about it in his book i looked it up and agree its an absolute classic.....Dave from York formerly Burnley

@petecus88 haha, totally, it's the difference in taste that makes life interesting too, eh.
-
@petecus88 hardly would call this track average, maybe you can't see it, but hey why wine, if you don't like the price of an expensive record DON'T BUY IT, LOL!!

Pete, as a collector you would surely know that amongst Northern Soul DJ's, the elitist collectors market drove the scene on. But if I have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand.
KTF, belting post.

Yeah Pete I agree. Surely the tune is the most important. It's nice to have an orig but there are limits and as you say not the greatest tune.

According to the liner notes of the Shrine Records 2 CD set, most of the releases on Shrine were burned up when the house of the owner of the label burned down completely. The fire wiped out most of the 45's.

@totallyclubbin Don't get me wrong. I'm a soul fanatic and this song is okay but just average in terms of good soul music (albeit rare obviously). There are loads of great & even better songs out there that can be purchased at reasonable prices and it must seem disheartening for new collectors to see how crazy the market has become. And don't worry i couldn't afford this in a million years. I'll leave it to the Richie $ Riches.
