Commercial for the Eaton's department store chain, promoting its Men's Fragrances department, by using a very sexy female model, and the promise of a free "masculine" ruler with built-in solar calculator (a big deal back then) if you spent $20 or more on men's fragrances.
Timothy Eaton opened his first store in Toronto, Canada, in the mid-1800s. Several generations later, his descendants drove the chain into bankruptcy, through bad business decisions and expensive tastes.
In 1999, I was at the Montreal store, on the day the doors closed for good. If I'd had $2700, I could have gotten a $27,000 mink coat for myself that day.
