The Pearly Gate do "Sally Baby," from the episode entitled "The Sound of the Plastic Axe." Apparently some of these guys were originally in the Sparkles, of "No Friend of Mine" and "Hipsville 29 B.C. (I Need Help)" fame.

  • This series should be officially released on DVD. Judd for the Defense was way ahead of its time for the 1960s. What a shame that it is impossible to get decent quality DVDs for this series.

  • Fantastic video. Very rare and creative.

  • So did "Sally Baby" become a Gold Record for the Pearly Gate? Love Hollywood's idea of hippies & all things psychedlelic n the late 60's & early 70's! Fasctinating clip...thanks for posting! I recall watching "Judd for the Defense" as a kid in the 60's. As I recall it, came on Fri or Sat nights. That way, I was allowed to stay upo late & watch it. The late great Carl Betz (Judd) was a very underated actor.

  • Holy shit! Is that a very young Dustin Hoffman on drums at 1:37 ?!? I don't know...

    Thanks for the post
