The Battle Of The Bulge offensive, launched by Marshal von Rundstedt on 16th December 1944, was a last attempt by German forces to break through the Allied front in the west. They hoped to capture the seaport of Antwerp, thus cutting off supplies to the British and American armies preparing to invade Germany. They sought to encircle and destroy the Allied armies, forcing them to abandon Franklin D. Roosevelts much-lauded dogma of unconditional surrender, instead negotiating a peace treaty in Germanys favour.

Using cutting edge technology, unique archive film, re-enactments and extraordinary interviews with the men who fought, this documentary provides us with an insightful and revolutionary new image of the Battle Of The Bulge.

  • This is bullshit Germany lost war before they started it,in 1944 they fought war without FUEL and aircrafts. Stupid hitler orderd ofansive atack towards France idiot didnt know that they lackd fuel for Tigers,Panthers,King tigers, half of those tanks ran out of fuel and got stuck. So americans used tactical boming and destroyd them.It was wasteo f tehnology and man.If germans didnt push for ofansive americans wuld have harder time.Even if germany lackd air supremecy.

  • The problem with a lot of history shows lately, is they aren't using the evidence to support a conclusion. They are forming a conclusion and making the evidence fit their theory.

  • Shit and gay propaganda. The battle of Bulge was bullshit. Nothing cool about it. They advanced after the german tanks and transports were out of fuel. I freaking hate this gay propaganda gosh. Just be proud with Normandy. WW2 was anything but not an american war. there are other wars in which the american presence is more obvious

  • @tomthefunky Japanese government had no time to respond to first bomb before 2nd was dropped. If things are actually the way you state, why did Japan surrender after 2 bombs? Why didn't it take complete destruction of Japan to make them surrender? Because any side would surrender after being nuked, as they can not know how many nukes would follow. I never said Japan wanted to respond, I said you didn't even give chanse to respond.

  • @JohQx3 They had more than enough time to surrender after the first bomb. Harry Truman was a decent man and to say he dropped the second bomb "just to kill civilians" is lower than low. No evidence whatsover exists that substantiates your claim. The Japanese government never even made the claim you are making. Why? Because you are making the accusation up. You are a fucking maggot. You are scum.

  • @tomthefunky You seriously don't make any difference between killing civilians and killing soldiers. I'm aware about those calculations which states nuking actually saved lives. How ever, as i already stated, I can accept dropping of the 1st bomb as someway crucial in terms of winning the war quickly. 2nd bomb still was a revenge, which had absolutely no military goals. US didn't even wait Japan to respond on the first bomb! 2nd bomb was intended just to kill civilians, with no others reasons.

  • @JohQx3 If we didn't drop the bombs, we would have invaded Japan and would have probably had to kill every man, woman and child in the whole fucking country. You are so mind numbingly stupid that you simply cannot seem to do simple fucking mathematics. Would you rather 200,000 killed with two bombs, or tens of millions killed with small bombs? American causalties would have went into the millions and that was NOT going to happen. Get that through your thick fucking skull.

  • @tomthefunky You actually don't understand anything about war, don't you? Well, what can I expect, your war adventures in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq have really twisted the mentality about meaning of war. Killing civilians is WRONG, in any war and in any situation. I do understand that civilian casualties can not be avoided completely, but they can be minimized. Nuking a city down is pure evil, and there is no justification for it, ever.

  • @JohQx3 Yeah, well sucks for Germany and Japan. I guess history just didn't turn out quite as you wished. And doesn't it also suck that America suffered the least amount of casualties in the whole war AND came out with a roaring economy and stronger than ever? Yup, we were the big winners in that poker game, and you cleaned our ashtrays and freshened up our drinks afterwards. Sucks, doesn't it?

  • @wb6162

That sounds good, but - it's absolute nonsense, and you know it. ;-)
