People wondering what the point is should read about how difficult and expensive it is for developers to create Apps across different phone systems. Instead of having to write an app for blackberry, android and iOS, you just write it once in html. Freedom as in completly free to develop an App once for all platforms ! It also means no more asking for 'permission' to distribute your own software in locked markets. Performance will improve with time, html5 is contantly improving and evolving.

Its not the best, but those phones are going to be just $30 to 50 to buy outright.
So says the man with the designer sweater and two iphones.

Well you cant blame them for phone design. This is literally the first time the public has seen them and mozilla says they are far from ready. I hope when they come out, they top the iphone and android. I have loved firefox for a while.

how is it less apps per os? if the devs find it worthwhile to release their app on an os they will. like i said, its never bad for us, the industry or technology, if an os doesnt have the apps you want you go for the os that does. you said it yourself people will go to the social network they want, how does that hurt us? it doesnt. if a company wants us to use their product they have to work for it. and people who buy iphones because they are most popular are idiots and sheep

you don'T get what I'm saying too much os = less apps per os because the developer cannot develop for every os at the same time so less app for me is bad and yes competition is good but oversaturation of product is not good like there is a lot of social websites but the only big ones are facebook and twitter there is so many different social site that most people just go to the biggest one just like people will buy an iphone because it's the most popular

you obviously dont know what youre talking about. even if that would happen its still not bad for us because we can get a phone with an os that has the apps we want and isnt bad for the insudtry or techonology at all

too many option can sometimes be bad especially in thius case since developper will concentrate on one os and leave the other os with no app and i'm sure you don't want a smartphone with no app

yes and that'S why android is good because almost every phone have a custom android but it's still the same base so the apps works on all phone and it is easier for the devs to create more apps I prefer a variety in app over os since we already have a few os

more options or many options is NEVER bad, its actually whats BEST for us and tech. less options, which also means less competition is horrible for us and tech. i, just like every single smart person want as many options as possible. i like ff os cause its made by mozilla which seem to be the best company, pro consumer, not greedy at all and the os seems to be open, for the consumers and even devs. 2nd remember how droid was when it first released? this is the first try nd its already way better
