On http://ultimatereloader.com we're going through a complete AR-15 adventure starting with a from-scratch AR-15 build. In this video we'll validate and correct bullet runout using the new Hornady concentricity tool. For the complete story, see the write-ups on http://ultimatereloader.com

  • neat tool, interesting. I have the same questions as others here regarding the usefullness of the adjustments for an AR. I would think that the bullet would be kicked around in the chamber. Also when the round fires who is to say it stays straight as the powder blows. I cant wait to see the results.

  • @happyfunbob - If you want to see the range reports, please subscribe to my blog :)

  • I see how this would be good on a bolt gun, but wouldn't the concentricity of the bullet be knock off when the bullet hits the feed ramps on an simi-auto like an AR?

  • How much does .01 of run-out matter? Is this something that you would do with EVERY round loaded?

  • Would love to see everything in action.

  • That Redding Comp die worked nicely. Put some rounds down range and let us know. Great job on the vids. A lot of really great info!

  • I can't wait to see the groups from this ammo, rifle combination.
