curious, this was in color and yet Cronkite reporting the death of LBJ in 1973, 5 years after this, is in b & w.
-
From JFK - MLK , Cronkite has reported the worst tragedies America has ever seen

@BellumSacrumBellum28 yes revolutionized a nation. all walks of citizens sure did care about the goal of the country and the direction its headed towards freedom and a house united. he led great demonstrations that even white folks were involved. together we stand united, a house divided we fall. take some advice from your early fathers if not for this ''nigger''...

@HummingbirdBukkake What...dude...Shut up. You make no sense...

@sunnyshine6276 In Japan, niggers are revered, except for the really black ones. The darkest ones are tied to a public urinal and pissed on repeatedly. After a few days of this, a priest blesses them by deficating on his own sacred robe then lighting it on fire and throwing it on the black coon niggers. (bows) (smells own vagina and barfs on clitoris)

I will pray for those that hate..and ask God to give them the strength to raise their kids other than the way they were raised. Hate is taught and some of you obviously were bullied or something..maybe even a few of you have been on Maurey! Yall need some sunshine!

Anyone that thinks its ok to hate just because of color must be lacking some love in the home. Regardless of one's language or character, I wouldn't wish harm on no one. Those of you that spend so much time calling others out of their names do know that your own insecurities keep you from loving others. This behavior is why you "racist" folks can't seem to grow. Focus on loving who you are and just maybe someone other than your own mother will like you. Don't be ignorant, be blessed!

@BabyGirlGoddess amen to that man!

1968 wasn't that long ago. My grandparents were alive at that time and it was 3 years before my mother was born. I think a lot of people like to think that racism was a "very, very long time ago" when it is actually pretty recent. R.I.P. King and all others who helped contribute to the fight for equality among the races. Unfortunately the fight is not over yet.
It's really cool to see vintage programming like this one. Not only does it shows what television programming is like in those days, but what life was like.
