My husband & I both work & we can't make it, we depend on the local food pantry for bread & basics, unfortunately the income requirements for welfare or WIC aren't set to current times so we don't qualify for anything not even heating assistance. We won't have heat this Winter at all but I'm constantly told by local financial assistance offices "good luck". We are at the end of our rope with this, I have a 5 yr old to take care of & I can't even give him food for lunch.

These people were Middle Class but being out of work and being on Unemployment Insurance for so long. Has changed that.
