In Part Three of our track guides we visit Willow Springs in California. As one of the oldest courses in the game this is a welcome addition for any gamer looking for a tough but rewarding challenge. Over the years Willow Springs has found a place in the hearts of many motoring enthusiasts so much so that a large group successfully mounted a campaign for the track to be added to the list of Californian Points of Historial Interest in 1996.

Yup! You can buy your stock car and progressively turn it into a beast :)

i have a question! is there crashing physics in the game??

Crashes are definitely involved in the game. We have an all-new crash dynamic that makes crashing feel a lot more realistic.

Also, when the car takes on damage, you can have it affect the performance of your car, or you can have it simply be visual.

do cars come as they are in this game or can you modify ?

The cars that you buy stock can be modified as you progress throughout the game!

You can do interior and exterior customization, and they will obviously affect the performance of your car. We have all kinds of customization too. It even gets really in-depth if you want. For instance, you can do something as specific as change your tire pressure :)

for a large portion of the racing fans in this country, yes it is. the street racing was cool back when the first fast & furious movie came out. since then, it's popularity has sharply decreased due to the many serious injuries and fatalities associated with it. that, and the fact that tracks are holding more and more open track days has led to a serious decline in street racing, and correspondingly in the glorification of street racing in video games.

that's the reason why EA is making NFS World Online and Nitro. Or buy Burnout...since NFS Underground the games aren't good anymore. But that's the first good game excepted NFS Most Wanted was also nice.

Probably because most body-kits are just pieces of plastic you glue to the car. In this game the body-kits consists of Diffusers, Spoilers, Canards and Front-splitters all designed for more downforce and they are probably made in-house by the racing-team.

What a dusty hell. I seriously hate this track. One tiny mistake or a nudge from an opponent and you're in the sand drilling into the wall because the momentum carries you away and those damn wheels won't catch on in the sand. Hate it! The number of time I had to restart this track the first time I played it in Viper vs Murcielago...

I have a question. How come you always include real rim company's in your games like BBS, Enkei, and Momo, but never put any real bodykit company's such as Veilside, Sparco, or TRD? becuase the next game you develope I would like to see more Bodykits for special cars especially the Fortune bodykit for the Mazda RX-7 and stuff like that, also, you guys should include more suprise cars like the SSC Ultimate Aero, and make it less arcadish and make it like Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport! =D

That's the berm. Apex is the center point between the entrance and the exit. Which allows you to maintain a fairly straight line and maintain as much speed as possible.
