Attenborough Explores... Our Fragile World, a documentary looking at the impact of climate change in the UK.

Our planet is the hottest it has been since records began - and it's getting hotter. Many predictions have been made about the future fate of a warming planet and its wildlife but, Attenborough Explores... Our Fragile World takes a look at the impact on the animals and habitats affected today. Global warming isn't a future phenomenon - it is happening right now.

Sir David Attenborough said, "We are heading for a great worsening of the conditions of this planet for life of all kinds and I have no doubt whatsoever of the cause, which is the by-products of humanity's activities, and that therefore we should be curbing them."

  • @MikeOxsmells

"BBC promotes the myth of global warming"... = denial of overwhelming evidence and scientific consensus on anthropogenic (humanmade) global warming [AGW]

Surely BBC also reports about companies polluting the environment.

But we are awake. And we can smell ignorance and deception.

  • @TheMrSirCharles "Denial of overwhelming evidence and scientific consensus on anthropogenic (humanmade) global warming [AGW]"? I tend to find that people who use more words than necessary to try and compensate for their lack of credibility often create the opposite effect. As for ignorance and deception, I agree entirely. The government continues to deceive us whilst we are ignorant of Earth's long history of climate change and the fact that global warming has been underway since the Ice Age.

  • @MikeOxsmells

Unbased blahblah and still ignorance of a scientific consensus... What more to say? Ignorance of facts.

  • I am a wealthy CEO & I think global warming is just wonderful. So what if many species are stressed & die out? So what if sea encroaches on a lot of land & people start fighting for basic needs like water & food? I will still keep getting my needs & luxuries. It is you suckers who will do all the fighting & dying. I will still keep getting my whopping bonus. And when you go off to die in distant wars, guess who gets to ... er enjoy your women? Me & my executives & our lackies - the politicians!

  • @TheMrSirCharles but the question is why? perhaps the fuel economic harmony?

  • @MikeOxsmells Actually, he was being precise. If you weren't so ignorant you'd be able to see that.

  • @MikeOxsmells Sorry: I know its been a month since you posted but: technically speaking, we are still in an ice age :-) Probably what you meant was the last period of glaciation :-)

  • @MikeOxsmells I'm not going to take either side of the global warming debate. I will say, however, that everything you have just claimed comes off as classic propaganda with no citing of evidence for any claim about BBC, their purpose, or global warming. Ending with a mass message, swearing, and using caps, is the proverbial icing on the propaganda cake. Great evidence speaks for itself; in the absence of great evidence, one ends up simply speaking too much. like i am, ciao lol

  • @Keinlicht Hmmm I'd like you to point into the direction of the historical sources you describe and preferably something that isn't al gore faffing about with powerpoint. Preferably university study records or something of a scientific nature?

  • @NicenEasyuk No, they're not, and no, it doesn't. A cursory glance at historical records for Temperature, CO2 and international Glacial as well as Sea Ice aberrations yields a clear message: the sole explanation for the change in Earth's climate is either an external and artificial climate forcing, or an undiscovered natural one.

Now, if you had some evidence of a new atmospheric effect that could account for the modern state of the earth, I might respect your sincerity. But you don't.
