When you saw the felling notch, then first make the oblique cut, then the straight, cause you can work more exactly. Then cut the splint pin from both sites, then make the final cut. And before this, watch out if there is somebody in the dangerous area.
Go down on the knee and fell near the bottom. For your back!

Why'd you fell it so high up? For a strong lean tree you could consider cutting your gub then making a bore cut to leave the hinge and a couple of inches connected at the back to hold it, last cut is a small downward angled to meet. Means the tree doesn't fall too early and saves split timber. Useful for windy days too.

it is a very very good saw i felled timber with it for 2 years before getting a 460 and everyone one the site wanted my saw so it is a very good saw
