Hey Porsche911GT1, its me RACECAR from GTP. Nice video. The engineers looked a bit cocky at 2:38, and I didn't know that car was tested at California Speedway. Awesome stuff.

i haven't been to GTP for a while. yeah, extensive aerodynamic and reliability testing were carried out at Fontana in California, Homestead in Florida and a finally 30-hour run at Magny-Cours.

the most beautiful car IMO.... That´s a pitty it´s flying car. I think it would have a 1:18 miniature.. If it has, It would be a must to have in my collection.

i wish someone that has a clr would put it through a 3d scanner so people can replicate full models of the car.

it would be so awesome having one just to whiz around a track a few times every month

I would like to see Mercedes again on Le Mans with a similar car with Michael Schumacher onboard, after that i could die in happiness LOL !!

@ 1.18 , Pretty funny to hear that the CLR was a revolution in Aerodynamic design, infact it was obviously a Aerodynamic disaster, lol.

I would still drive it on tracks like Abu Dhabi, Monza, and other smooth and non-hilly tracks. Its too godd looking and sunding to go to a museum and sit there.

Stunning looking race car...even now in 2010 it looks high-tech. Could so easily have been one of the great race cars. It also sounds menacing. Mercedes V8's have a fantastic growl. I would really love to have a 1:18 scale model sitting my coffee table, or better yet, be that rich guy somewhere in Europe who has the number 6 CLR in his collection

Those two rain shots from the Fontana test sure were interesting. How often do you see a car driving on an speedway oval in the rain? Yes, I know it was the "roval" layout featuring the infield road course. Still a cool site. Good looking car, too. What a shame that it won't be remembered for something that's not so sinister.
