The Sunderbans

The largest deltas in India. Along with the portion of Bangladesh is the largest deltas in the world. Sunderbans, Sunder is derived from Sundari trees which are in abundant in the sunderbans and Ban is drevied from forest. The delta is formed at the feet of the Ganges. It covers more that 10,000 square kilomiters, of which about 6,000 sq. km. are in Bangladesh and the rest is in India.

We, the indians are trying our best to protect this biosphere reserve. Not it becomes one of the best tourist destination in India. Tourists, Scholars and Wild Life Photographeres from the different parts of the world are
also coming here.
The free area of the Royal Bengal Tigers often get angry to make entry into their own country. So many species of birds, spotted deer, crocodiles and snakes make our sunderban gorgeous.
