Nice work Mick! PaulG - Indy forum

Yeah, it only has 10 gallons. I still love my TT though. It's a beast. I would look into the 31hp liquid-cooled Kohler Aegis if I were you. I don't know those fuel numbers though. Good Luck!

Not sure about new one. The 37kawi is very thirsty and has some reliability issues. Machine is over 100kg heavier and felt like the diesel version meaning, its not as nimble as ours.
I am due for a new machine next season so not really sure what to do. Scag Cheetah is an option but even a left over 2010 SZ if any available. Im even thinking Scag Turf Tiger.
There are a lot to choose from here now so will depend on price and what each has to offer.

@mickhippy Thanks for the update! Would you buy the new 2011 SZ ? I decided months ago that I'm hangin' on to my '09 SZ.

Holding up well mate! Been very wet this year so didnt put as many hours on as it should. Think its up to 750 or so. No real issues come to mind. A throttle cable is about all. Ive been lucky with the belts, only 1 or 2 shredded. I replace drive belt every 200hrs or so to be safe, but keep old as back up. Shit happens as you know!
Had a go of the new SZ couple weeks ago. Nice, but 37hp Kawi is a (fuel) problem and its heavy! Pretty bad ass though! I liked the Flex Forks. Nice ride.

How's the Super Z holding up, Mick? Mine has about 90 hours on it. Drive belt for the drive wheels came off for the first time the other day. No big deal though, a "gumball" out of a Gum tree got caught between the belt and pulley. Put the belt and spring right back on with no problem. Only other problem I've had so far was a stopped up fuel filter when the machine was new. Dealer took care of that- no problem. The more I use it, the more I love my Super Z.
So I'd say 5-5.5 hours between refueling if your running it straight depending on throttle. I did go into my dealer wanting to look at the 31hp liquid-cooled Kohler Aegis, but he did not have one at the time, and he made me a deal and knocked off $350 and gave me a case of oil and a extra set of blades and t-shirt. LOL At the time he convinced me that the air-cooled was so much easier to work on, and the fuel-injection didn't get that much better gas mileage. I'll stay with Scag! Love mine!

5-5.5hrs just isnt long enough for me! I mow commercially and dont want to re fuel every day. Cost of fuel here is insane so thats something else I need to consider. I can easily get 8hrs out of the 31 Kawi, more like 10 or 11hrs, maybe even more if cutting regular lawns! Im glad you told me about this actually! Cheers!
Come to think of it, the Scag has a smaller fuel tank I believe. Maybe it needs to be bigger on the big block motors.

the Scag TT with the 35 vanguard is awesome.

@aaron28532
Is that from experience? How many hours between fuel stops?
