@2jzgtejza80 thats where your wrong, the whole new thing is shorter gear ratios, they improve your fuel economy. In all of my college automotive classes thats one of things we have to learn about now and this is the reason why we needed buy the latest edition book because it covers close gear ratio's. they indeed do improve fuel economy since the torque converter doesnt waste as much energy since it can quickly swap gears. same goes for a manual, gas pedal from clutch movements depend on driver

It's useless to have this type of g-box in road going car. (loud, expensive, short ratios, very bad fuel cons).
It's performance race g-box, more usable at race track, faster shifting, easier downshifts.
