The 1980 Floor Show was the first appearance of David Bowie since his much publicised retirement on 3 July 1973 at the Hammersmith Odeon. It was also to be his last appearance as "Ziggy Stardust". The show itself was a spectacular stage production that was filmed over 3 days, mostly at The Marquee Club, Soho, London for the American NBC TV late night show The Midnight Special.

  • time is a masterpiece.the best song of alladin sane

  • this song is a masterpiece.. as are many of his songs!

  • He changed "falls wanking to the floor" to falls "swanking." No doubt he had to change it for television.

  • @ode2joy4u u lucky thing haha! im 18 so ive probably missed the chance to see him live now :( at least there are vids like this...

  • I saw Bowie a few times back in the 70's, and then on Broadway in, The Elephant Man. Ain't he great? After years of trying... finally, my 19 year old daughter understands the genius of David Bowie. Hell, yeah! Thank you for sharing this. They use the recorded track behind David's live singing. Not bad, at least Ronson's playing is there... I love Mick Ronson, may he rest in peace.

  • .....!!!.....

  • @steevmaytranscriptio OH MY GOD YEAH. Well I guess cos he's David Bowie, he's MAGICAL.

  • How come, at the very end of this vid, the blue bracelet comes off his arm and flies into the audience...but mysteriously appears back on his wrist in the the last shot?

  • @ErinGreywolf so ridiculous that its fascinating and becomes artistic :O
