@ch1do121 Obviously, you don't understand. Cutting is used as a way of relief. It's not something that you're necessarily gonna show off or brag about. To a lot of people it's embarrassing. It can become very addicting also. Emo is short for emotional, yes. Just because someone is emotional, does not mean that they cut. Emo is a classification of attitude, style, music, etc. It has nothing to do directly with cutting. Not all emo people cut, not all cutters are emo.

i know i HATE the word "emo"in health we had to write on the board types of abuse & some1 wrote down cutting & the lady asked what type of abuse was it. some guy yelled emo and i went off saying thats not the right term 4 it & that it was self abuse.

@liviehorselover You're repeating what I have said. People cut themselves to get rid of emotional pain. That's pretty much what I said months ago. They use physical pain to rid themselves of emotional pain. So why are you telling me this? And no, some people cut themselves because they THINK they have no one to turn to. There is always someone to turn to and they can help. Some people cut right away, thinking that they have no other choice. It's just stupid.
