America was one of the last hold outs to harbor slavery . The Flag however does not represent slavery. IT represents a fight to save the rights of states and a fight to keep the banksters and corporations from running America. "Corporations have been enthroned at the highest levels ,an era of corruption will follow." Circa 1864 The Apoligists have stolen the Song John Brown's body for the Battle hymm stolen J Brown's ideals to cover the truth with lies. Lincoln didn't care about slaves
The Confederate Flag is and always will be associated with racism. Its just the way it is. 150 years ago it was the symbol of the south, people will always believe that the north freed the slaves, whether true or not. But the point Im making with that is the flag was associated with slavery back then and it was/is such a major issue that they will always be linked together. In the same time frame, so about 80 years from now, you cant expect the Nazi flag/symbol to not have the same affect
You know ACParker13, its very hard for people to take seriously someone who makes such a morally devoid comparison with no historical or ideological precedent. Plus you may want to remember that 2000 years ago, the Roman Cross was the ultimate symbol of oppression and slavery....Today, it is recognized as one of the most powerful symbol of forgiveness and love among human beings. No matter the origins of symbols, their means are defined by the people who honor them.
ACParker13 You...and every other individual who makes that argument have yet to prove that there is any reasonable way to compare Confederate ideology and Nazi ideology, and by extension prove that both flag are the same.
I am appealing to you as a rational, reasonable human being to make your argument free of profanity and insults and prove to me that there is no difference between the two. Give it your best shot...if you can?
ok, settle down nobody said they were the same they just represent something that was wrong therefore will most likely be remembered for that example.. barry bonds/steroids the fact they are both symbols of past evil doens't necessarily mean they are synonymous all i'm saying is people relate them to evil, i'm not saying it's justified or not people think confederate flag they think slavery. period.
you arguing with me on youtube will not change that.
No but I do believe that with much effort those who honor the flag will end that misconception. It may take another 150 years but in the end its a fight I think is ultimately worth it to honorably win.
I thank you for that much at least. And no I don't believe we should forget the misuses of the battle flag (not the Stars and Bars that's the first National CSA flag...easy misconception, don't feel bad). To forget them would be to allow the same crimes to be committed twice.
I do not want it forgotten that people misused it to intimidate people, I just hope those same people can learn to distinguish between those who honor men and those who hate and not lump the flag with both.
