This is my set of matches against Yoshi King II from Mario Heaven for the second competition, "Girls' Night Out." The restrictions are that you can only use the female characters in the game: Samus (either one will do), Zelda/Sheik, Jigglypuff, Peach, or Nana (of the Ice Climbers) There are also stage and item restrictions too, though in all three of these matches, I didn't see a single item drop. Yoshi King II must have them turned off.

I modified the Stage Select (under "More Rules") to only pick the stages specified for this tournament, as well as the Items, though the latter didn't matter much, it seems. There's no restriction for Random character select, however, which means I manually selected the characters this time.

I get off to a strong start in Hanenbow using Jigglypuff. I think Hanenbow is one of Jigglypuff's strongest stages because Jigglypuff is pretty fast in the air and can attack pretty viciously and quickly passing through the platforms.

Unfortunately, I lost the following two rounds during Sudden Death. Both of them took place on a very flat piece of stage, and Sheik's needle attack gets pretty annoying during Sudden Death. (It also gets pretty annoying during regular play too, but you don't have Bob-ombs raining down from the skies there.

  • I thought Popo was a boy. It said on Melee.

  • @peasandcarrots2009 And Nana is a girl. I believe Nana was the player character here.

  • why does YK2 say "BURNINATED" all the time?

Oh and, those Sudden Death Bombs just couldn't be sheilded for you, could they?! lol!

  • @Dianathegamemaster That's one of the custom catchphrases. He just uses it by reflex, I guess.

  • jigglypuff is actually a guy in th smash series....

  • @mrmario174 Jigglypuff wears a flower, a ribbon, and a straw hat with lace; is voiced by Rachel Lillis; and does pirouettes in joy. Even if we're just doing a crapshoot, 75% of Jigglypuff in the Pokémon video games are female, so it's more likely this one is female.

  • that was an easy win

  • How do you talk while playing brawl? I always wanted to know that...

  • @Marioyoshiguy64 Was it? Some of the color combinations have Nana as the leader.

  • @skywalker399 No, this was not my idea.
