text by pat Kaake....................... The sound of clear running water would be the most magnificent music to the ears of many people on earth, who have no clear running water.
We live in an economically distressed area of western New York, but our water is a rich resource for the people of the Great Lakes,
and millions of people would envy us that kind of wealth.
Some would waste it or sell it, or ignore it as a resource of any value having no respect, appreciation or responsibility for such a precious gift.
Our government should lead, guide and enforce
sound environmental policy good for the earth and the people. But they do not lead, or examine or enforce the rules they have written.
Casella waste is polluting our spaces, our air and our water, and the DEC is unwilling or unable to deal with the mismanagement style and poor landfill management practices that this particular company has brought to rural areas in New York State.
Who cares?
But the system is broken. Those who would destroy our clean water air and land are doing so with arrogance, and impunity; apparently believing that money is potable, that future generations aren't our problem, and "the garbage has to go somewhere", so why not here, on the clean land within the sound of the clean water, in whatever method seems feasible. Who cares?
Enforcement is left to the sleeping guardians we continue to hire and pay to officially take care of our environmental concerns. Can we afford to let the system remain broken and unresponsive? Or shall we demand that the government respond, earn their keep and do their appointed tasks with honesty and transparency? Anything less than that is much less than the environment deserves, and we shall all answer for that, when the water is no longer clear or life sustaining.
Who cares?
Listen again to the music of abundant, clean water flowing down the hills of the southern tier, into the streams, creeks and inlets to the Genesee River, to the Great Lake Ontario, to the St. Lawrence and then on to the Atlantic.
Now add to this picture, carcinogens, heavy metals, asbestos, and the smell of rotting garbage and industrial sludges, sewage. Now do you care? The time to care is now.
Listen to the water....The end of this video is no surprise.more http://angelica14709.com

I think WTF means "What The Fuck?", a comment from a non environmentalist who thinks the earth will support us forever. Urine has many uses cosmetics, drugs, and of all things perfume. Casella takes in many contaminates that should be contained in the Dump, facility quit apart from going to the bathroom. It appears English is a second language for you, what is you native tounge. Thank you for your concern LOL to you.
